Objectives of St. Mary’s Academy of Dalaguete

GENERAL OBJECTIVES:

Elementary Department shall have the following objectives:

  1. Recognize and acknowledge God’s greatness and profound love for humankind through experiential approaches.

  2. Prepare the child for secondary education by providing basic knowledge of the the different multiple intelligence and learning skills.

  3. Recognize and appreciate the virtues of the Virgin Mary and Mother Ignacia and witness these in their lives.

  4. Uphold a deep sense of love of country and genuine sense of community service.

  5. Promote the cultural heritage of Filipino race.

Elementary Department Objectives:

SCIENCE

Acquire a functional understanding of basic Science concepts and principles and develop scientific skills, attitudes, and values, to help the environment become productive members and leaders of their respective coomunities.

CHRISTIAN LIVING

Live a life of faith, hope, and love manifesting the centrality of Christ with Mother Mary and Venerable Ignacia del Espiritu Santo as their role model and inspiration. Witness and live the life of Jesus by rendering loving service to others and sharing in the building of God’s Kingdom— the church of the poor.

ENGLISH

Communicate Competently one’s ideas, thoughts, and feelings both in oral and in written form and develop the needed attitudes based on Christian principles, and enhance/enrich skills in reading, writing, listening, and speaking which he/she could share his/her thoughts whether it be in words or actions.

MAPEH

Develop a well-rounded person, who shares his/her God-given talents with Christ-like attitude , sensitive to others' needs, and appreciative of Filipino cultural heritage and values.

FILIPINO

Malinang ang kakayahang komunikatibo upang magamit nang angkop ang Filipino sa iba’t-ibang sitwasyon tulad ng pakkikinig, pagsasalita, pagbasa, at pasgsulat nang naayon sa tradisyong Pilipino at gawaing Kristiyano na magiging gabay sa kanyang pagtulong at pagpapahalaga sa kapwa.

MATHEMATICS

Acquire computational knowledge and processes and use them skillfully and honestly as a witnessing Christian, apply them in quantitative ideas in solving problems of everyday life, help enhance basic Filipino values that will lead them to share and partake in the community where he/she belongs.

HOME ECONOMICS AND LIVELIHOOD EDUCATION

Acquire skills in personality development, Home management, and livelihood activities needed for one to become a responsible and self-oriented Filipino worthy to be a member of the family and society.

Malinang at mahubog ang isang Filipinong lubos ang paniniwala sa Diyos, may tunay na pagkalinga at pagmamahal sa kapwa at sariling kultura, may pagpapahalaga sa kanyang karapatan at malugod na natutupad sa kanyang mga tungkulin sa sarili, sa bayan, at sa daigdig na may kapanagutan at Kristiyanong pagpapahalaga.
