Objectives of St. Mary’s Academy of Dalaguete

GENERAL OBJECTIVES:

  1. To provide functional and relevant Spiritual values formation program to concretize Christian Living as core of the curriculum.

  2. To involve the entire Academic Community in various socially-oriented activities.

  3. To promote innovative student-centered teaching strategies to draw out from the students their multiple intelligence and learning styles.

  4. To instill the real essence of nationhood and patriotism to promote everything that is Filipino.

JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL OBJECTIVES:

  1. To internalize the Ignacian-Marian values and attitudes necessary for a Christ centered community.

  2. To provide activities which develop student’s sense of social awareness and grow in their commitment to help uplift the plight of the privileged in society.

  3. To enhance the different aptitudes and interests of the students in order to equip them for tertiary education.

  4. To provide activities for students to grow towards a greater sense of Filipino ideals and patriotic favor.

apply learned scientific concepts, processes, and skills in accordance with Christian doctrines of self-reliant, innovative, inquisitive, analytical and envioronmentaly-responsible citizens who adapt to the fast changing world.

Subject Areas Objectives

ENGLISH

Achieve communicative competence in both oral and written aspects that will help develop a passionate animation of values and critical analysis of literary text in more complex comprehension and expansion life situations.

MAPEH

Develop a well-rounded person, who shares his/her God-given talents with Christ-like attitude , sensitive to others' needs, and appreciative of Filipino cultural heritage and values.

FILIPINO

Maipapahayag ang diwa at damdamin sa pamamagitan ng mabisang paggamit ng wika sa pamaraang pasulat o pasalita sa makabuluhan at naangkop na pagkakataon upang maipamalas ang kahusayan sa larangan ng kalinangan, karanasan, pagpapahalaga, at kagandahang asal sa paglinang ng mapanuri, malikhain, at malayang Pilipino at Kristiyano na handang timugon sa pangangailangan ng lipunan at ng panahon.

MATHEMATICS

Manifest discipline in mind-habit for thinking logically and analytically in applying acquired concepts, processes, and skills with accuracy, precision, and consistency, essential for practical life situations.

HOME ECONOMICS AND LIVELIHOOD EDUCATION

Acquire skills in personality development, Home management, and livelihood activities needed for one to become a responsible and self-oriented Filipino worthy to be a member of the family and society.

MUSIC, ARTS, PHYSICAL EDUCATION AND HEALTH

Malinang at mahubog ang isang Filipinong lubos ang paniniwala sa Diyos, may tunay na pagkalinga at pagmamahal sa kapwa at sariling kultura, may pagpapahalaga sa kanyang karapatan at malugod na natutupad sa kanyang mga tungkulin sa sarili, sa bayan, at sa daigdig na may kapanagutan at Kristiyanong pagpapahalaga.

COMPUTER

Develop the skills to use the computer and software as tools for advanced learning, proficient in using software applications, acquire the needed computer skills and use such skills in his/her studies.
